About Me
Jora Leeseberg grew up in Hillsboro, North Dakota, and has loved art for as long as she can remember. This love of art has manifested in many ways, from making Polly Pocket clothes out of paper towels as a kid to expanding her artistic skills through art classes in high school. While in high school, Leeseberg decided she wanted to help mentor others in their creative journey by becoming an art teacher.
Leeseberg finds joy in the process of discovering and learning new art mediums and styles. This curiosity guides the materials and techniques she uses when creating. Leeseberg likes working with different textures and often creates pieces inspired by nature. She feels drawn to the beautiful organic forms and textures that nature brings. Through her exploration, Leeseberg discovered an affinity for textile art. She loves the repetitive relaxing motions this art brings, and the unique textures she is able to express.
After Graduation
After graduation, Leeseberg plans on substitute teaching while looking for an art teacher job in North Dakota. Leeseberg is excited to have her own classroom someday and the opportunity to mentor students. She believes that there is an art medium for everyone and through exploration, anyone can find the one that resonates with them.
